(Meliá), in application of the current regulations on the protection of personal data, informs that the personal data collected through paper or computer support forms are included in the specific automated user files on the servers of Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá)
The collection and automated processing of personal data is intended to maintain commercial relationships and the performance of information tasks, training, advising and other activities by Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá)
These data will only be transferred to those entities that prove their needs, and with the sole intention of fulfilling the purpose set above.
Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá) adopts the necessary measures to guarantee the security, integrity and confidentiality of data in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of April 27, 2016, regarding the protection of natural people within the processing of personal data and the free circulation thereof.
The user may at any time exercise the rights of access, opposition, rectification and cancellation recognized in the aforementioned Regulation (EU). Purpose of the processing of personal data
In Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá) we will treat your collected personal data with the following purposes:
Sending requested information through forms provided in digital or physical support. This information will not be used to send bulletins (newsletters), nor commercial communications of promotions or publicity of our entity or the sector.
We remind you that you can oppose to the sending of commercial communications by any means and at any time, by emailing to the address indicated above.
All the registry fields are of obligatory completion, being impossible to realize the expressed purposes if these data are not provided.
How long are the collected personal data retained?
The provided personal data will be kept as long as the commercial relationship is maintained and you do not request its deletion. Subsequent to this, they will be kept during the legally required deadlines (except, in both cases, that the treatment based on the user’s consent is revoked, in which case they will be kept until such revocation is received).
Therefore, we can guarantee that your data will not be kept longer than necessary for the purposes described above, without prejudice to the conservation that is necessary for the formulation, exercise or defence of potential claims, or whenever the application of the legislation is needed.

Users’ rights
Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá) informs the user about the possibility to assist them in exercising the rights of access, rectification, opposition, deletion, portability and limitation of the treatment as well as to reject the automated processing of the personal data collected by Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá)
These rights may be exercised free of charge by the user, and in the case, by anyone who represents them, by written and signed request addressed to the following address: Edificio El Rodeo, C. Víctor de la Serna, 1, Escalera 1, 29601, Marbella, Málaga. Said request must include the following information: name and surname of the user, address for the purposes of notifications, copy of the National Identity Document or Passport, and the application in which the request is specified.

In addition to the foregoing rights, the user shall have the right to withdraw the granted consent at any time through the procedure described above, without affecting the lawfulness of the treatment prior to its withdrawal. Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá) may continue to treat the user’s data to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá) reminds the user that they have the right to file a claim with the relevant control authority.
Implemented security measures
Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá) undertakes to comply with its obligation of secrecy of personal data and its duty to keep them, and will take the necessary measures to prevent alteration, loss, or unauthorized access, in accordance with the provisions of applicable regulations.
Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá) has implemented the necessary technical and organizational security measures to guarantee the safety of your personal data and to prevent their alteration, loss, treatment or unauthorized access, taking into account the state of the technology, the nature of stored data and the risks to which they are exposed, whether from human action or from the physical or natural environment, in accordance with the provisions of the applicable regulations.
Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá) is an entity concerned about privacy and, in order to strengthen the confidentiality and integrity of information in its organization, continuously maintains the supervision, control and evaluation of its processes to ensure respect for privacy and information security, according to international standards.
Protection of hosted information
Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá) makes backup copies of the contents hosted on its servers, but is not responsible for the loss or accidental deletion of data by users. Likewise, it does not guarantee the total replacement of the data deleted by the users, since the aforementioned data could have been deleted or modified since the last backup.
The services offered, except those specific for backup, do not include the replacement of the contents preserved in the backup copies made by Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá) when this loss is attributable to the user; in this case, a rate will be determined according to the complexity and volume of the recovery, always upon user acceptance.
The replacement of deleted data is only included in the price of the service when the loss of content is due to causes attributable to Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá)
Commercial communications
In application of the Spanish Law of Society Services of the Information and Electronic Commerce (L.S.S.I.), Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá) will not send advertising or promotional communications by electronic mail or any other electronic means of communication that previously had not been requested or expressly authorized by the recipients of the same.
In the case of users with whom there is a prior contractual relationship, Meliá Hotels International S.A. (Meliá) will be authorized to send commercial communications referring to products or services that are similar to those that were initially the object of contracting with the client.
In any case, the user, after proving his identity, may request that no more commercial information be sent to him through the channels indicated above.
